Norceca Men's Qualifier Location Set

Winnipeg The FIVB (Federation International de Volleyball) has recently confirmed Winnipeg as the host city for a very important Men¹s World Championship Qualification Tournament that is scheduled for July 25 27, 2001.

The tournament will feature Team Canada, USA, Barbados, and one other team from the NORCECA Zone (North - Central American, & Caribbean) yet to be announced. The winner will gain an automatic berth into the 2002 World Championships in Argentina.

Newly Appoointed Men's Team Head Coach Stelio DeRocco had this to say about the announcement: "The WC qualifier means that Winnipeg will play host once again to top international volleyball. As the team starts a new chapter and a new Quadrennial the World championship Qualifier tournament is the beginning of many tough challenges the team must face. The World Championships is a top priority for the team as it represents one of the major tournaments of International Volleyball."
