The German team played with a important missing player: the captain Hübner was not able to play because of a throat infecction. "He had fever all nihgt. Because of that I had to change a lot the team. Maybe the group felt for his absence. But in the end, I liked the players attitude. It was a great experience for this young team", said Stelian Moculescu, the german head coach.
Even with no conditions to play, Hübner told his comments about the match. "It was a very strange match. We lost the first two game for a very big difference. But in the thrid one we made some good serves and blocks. However we can not deny that Brazil is superior", he said.
For Nalbert, the brazilian captain, the fact of losing the third game is no big deal. "We lost a little bit of the concentration in the that game and made some receiving errors. But we were able to recover in the fourth. Now we have to work hard cause we can always get better".
