Volleyball Canada Signs with Mikasa

Ottawa, Ontario - Volleyball Canada is pleased to announce a new supplier agreement with Aero Sports of Calgary, Alberta. Aero is one of the largest distributors of Mikasa balls in Canada and the agreement penned between the two parties marks the first step in the partnership between the FIVB endorsed ball company Mikasa, via of one of their primary distributors in Canada (Aero Sports), and Volleyball Canada.

The supplier agreement will allow Volleyball Canada to retail the FIVB endorsed MVP 200 (indoor ball) and VLS 200 (beach volleyball), official game balls of the 2004 Olympic Games, and also involves the provision of an allotment of these balls to Volleyball Canada's respective National Team programs. Aero Sports will be the official supplier of these balls to Volleyball Canada, and Mikasa will be recognized as the "official volleyball supplier" to Volleyball Canada's National Team programs.

"Volleyball Canada is pleased to have developed this relationship with Aero Sports and Mikasa. The partnership will allow us to facilitate the sales and distribution of the balls required for our National Team competitions and international events, previously sometimes difficult to accomplish," said Michelle van Vliet, Corporate Development Director at Volleyball Canada. As of July, Volleyball Canada will have both the "official volleyballs" of the National Indoor and Outdoor volleyball teams available for retail.
