Winnipeg, MB - On their home floor, the University of Manitoba Bisons captured the 2001 CIAU Women's Volleyball Championship with a 3-1 victory over the Sherbrooke Vert et Or.

Sherbrooke struck first, grabbing the opening set 25-18. However, the Bisons responded behind a raucous U of M crowd at the Investor's Group Athletic Centre.
