| USA Volleyball will be active participants at the upcoming AVCA Annual Convention Dec. 13-16 at Omaha, Neb. U.S. Women's National Team Head Coach "Jenny" Lang Ping, U.S. Men's National Team Assistant Coach Ron Larsen, USAV National Commissioner for Coaching Education Bill Neville and USAV Director of High Performance Tom Pingel will all present at the convention. | You can still register to attend the AVCA Annual Convention and the CAP I, II, IMPACT and VCAP courses in Omaha! After 5 p.m. Dec. 8, 2006, faxed and on-line registrations will not be accepted - you must print the faxable form and bring it with you to register on-site in Omaha (Qwest Center Room 205) beginning Tuesday, Dec. 12, until Friday, Dec. 15, morning at 8 a.m.
Registration is now open for the following 2007 courses: Jan 6-7: Big Bend/Milwaukee, WI CAP I & II Jan 5-7: Leesburg, FL IMPACT & CAP I & II - IMPACT/CAP I * CAP II/Impact Instructor Jan 13-14: Vestal/Binghamton, NY IMPACT & CAP I
Jan 18-20, 2007 USAV High Performance Clinic Attendees can ADD CAP Sessions - the CAP Level I day on the 18 for an additional registration, or if CAP Level I certified, may add the CAP Level II day on Jan 20 for an additional registration fee. Those needing Modules only for recertification purposes, may purchase them singly or in groups of 3, 5, an entire day or all days.

| USA Volleyball has hired Kristen Soyk as coordinator of program logistics, replacing Debbie Weishaar. Kristen began her duties on Dec. 6 Nominations for the 2007 Service Awards are now being accepted. Nominations for adults who have served the Junior Division of USA Volleyball on a local, regional and national level are needed for the following categories: 1. Outstanding Program Director; 2. Outstanding Female Coach; 3. Outstanding Male Coach; 4. Outstanding Parent; 5. Outstanding Clinician; 6. Outstanding Service. For more information, click here University of Nebraska junior opposite Sarah Pavan and Wingate University senior middle blocker Rebecca Brezovec head the 2006 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. For the complete university and college division teams, click here Click here for an article on the Best Gifts for a Volleyball Player Andy Klussman showed his allegiance to both University of Colorado and Colorado State at the NCAA Division I Tournament first round matches held in Boulder, Colo. Klussman, who lost his wife and was seriously injured himself as a drunk driver collided into his vehicle in June 2004, served as a volunteer coach at University of Colorado during the 2006 season after four years as an assistant coach at Colorado State University. We will award $50,000 in grants to high school teams across the U.S. that inspire other girls to get involved in sports and physical activity. The deadline is Feb. 16, 2007.
