The USA A2 Blue Team, led by University of Texas Head Coach Jerritt Elliott and assisted by Denver University Assistant Coach Brook Coulter, includes setters Sydney Anderson (Salt Lake City, Utah) and Nicole Vargas (Seal Beach, Calif.). Outside hitters for the team will be Jamie Houston (Huntsville, Ala.), Talisa Kellogg (Westerville, Ohio) and Sarah Ammerman (Parker, Colo.). Middle blockers will be Lori Baird (Murray, Utah), Zoe Garrett (Laguna Beach, Calif.) and Dominque Olowolafe (Lansing, Mich.). Kristy Jaeckel (Littleton, Colo.) will play opposite, while Alli Hillgren (Rancho Sante Fe, Calif.) is set to fill the libero jersey.

The USA A2 Red Team, led by Michigan State University Head Coach Cathy George and assisted by Georgia Tech Assistant Coach Ben Bedipo-Memba, has setters Carli Lloyd (Bonsall, Calif.) and Jessica Nyrop (Harrison, Idaho). Middle blockers for the Red Team are Kelsey Bowers (Gainesville, Fla.), Brittnee Cooper (Houston) and Lauren Williams (Houston). Outside hitters are Ellen Herman (Toledo, Ohio), Callie Rivers (Winter Park, Fla.) and Kimmee Roleder (Pasadena, Calif.). Am’ra Solomon (Los Angeles) is the opposite, while Elena Martinez (New Orleans) is the libero.

USA Volleyball held two tryouts at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs to assist in the selection of the A2 Team. The first tryout session was an invitation-only event Jan. 7-11, while the second tryout was an open event held Feb. 22-24. Both tryouts doubled as evaluation periods for the A2 program as well as the U.S. Women’s National Team which will compete at the Olympic Games.
