KLAGENFURT,AUT.- The sun is back again and so are the Brazilians. Sensational Brazilian final of World Champions Emanuel Rego/Jose Loiola against top seeded Zé Marco de Melo/Ricardo Santos. Paulao/Bellaguarda finished third. The Norway tandem Hoidalen/Kjemperud finishes fourth. In total 13.000 spectators created a terrfic atmosphere in the stadium of Klagenfurt.

"Winning in Klagenfurt is really great, it is one of the best tournaments on the tour. The final was very good, but I prefered the play against the Americans. The spectators in the stadion are very involved and motivated our play," said Loyola about his victory at the Pringles Open FIVB-Beach Volleyball World Tour, the third time that the Brazilian tandem won in Klagenfurt. It was a case of the two top seeded Brazilian teams meeting for the final. On the one side Ricardo did a perfect job with blocks and rallied from a 12-5 deficit to take a 13-12 lead over Emanuel and Loyola. On the other side Emanuel was decisive for the finish by getting two fatal shots on Zé Marco and making the last two points (15-13, two match points).
