COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 26, 2009) – USA Volleyball announced today that Mizuno USA, Inc., a worldwide leader in volleyball equipment and apparel, will serve as the exclusive and official ankle brace of the Association. In September of 2008, Mizuno renewed its sponsorship agreement with USA Volleyball to remain as the “Official Athletic Apparel and Footwear Supplier for the USA Men’s and Women’s National Teams and teams representing the United States in the Olympic Games.”

The Mizuno DXS Ankle Support Brace is available in left and right foot specific models, providing a better fit and better support of the outer side of each ankle, where most common lateral sprains occur. The shorter, more compact design of the DXS provides a better range of motion, allowing the ankle and knee to work independently, reducing the risk of knee injuries. With a multi-strap design and multiple levels of support, the DXS offers volleyball athletes a customized supportive fit, emulating a professional “tape wrap”.
